Imagine you have a membership plan that includes video calls. Let's consider Mary, a patient who requests an online appointment focused on chronic disease management; she has Diabetes.
Before initiating a call, you can send her a message with recommendations like being in a quiet environment, ensuring a stable internet connection, and any other necessary guidance your practice provides.
To start a call, you simply click the video button below the chat in an encounter on SigmaMD, making sure your browser is properly configured for video calls. Your patient will then receive a prompt through SMS with a link to join the call and start her appointment.
During the call, you can use the picture-in-picture mode to maintain the conversation while navigating through other sections of SigmaMD Clinician, ensuring you never lose sight of your patient. You can, for example, easily access patient health data, document patient encounter notes, order lab tests, facilitate prescription management etc.
At the end of the call, you can request patient feedback and ensure timely follow-up on her treatment.
